SOCIAL SERVICES I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone visiting the site, especially to the people living here and also to those who live far away and miss Santanyí. I am sure that many of you visit and browse this site frequently in order to find out the latest news and what the everyday life of our municipality is like. As many of you already know, my name is Maria Pons and I am councillor of Social Services, Immigration and Health. I am pleased to announce that we have opened our new facilities, which I will be only too glad to present to you.
We must provide help to those who need it, promote understanding and civic coexistence among our fellow citizens, regardless of whether they are newcomers or residents, avoid any kind of violence and bring harmony to everyone. I take this opportunity to mention some of the new services and programmes that we are launching: Legal and social advice service. Support service for victims of gender violence.. It is an integrated and specialized service for victims of gender violence provided by the Santanyí Town Hall. Guardian-police officer. We will post news and information on future events on the site.
