Municipal band

There are no records that indicate the band’s foundation date, although through indirect references it is surely one of the oldest bands in Mallorca. Furthermore, the band is the origin of the Santanyí music school.

The band is formed by amateurs, students and professionals from the music school totaling around 50 musicians with an average age of 22-23 years.

The band is characterized for being a dynamic cultural element and for having a stable and permanent composition. It organizes many events for its audience and also takes part in events organized by other entities.

Their latest performances include a soundtrack concert with images, a zarzuela concert with a tenor and a soprano, a concert in Segovia with the local municipal band, as well as many other concerts throughout the year.
