Santanyí Ràdio was created in the summer of 2002.

From the start our philosophy has been clear. Based on a municipal radio station approach, with the technical and human limitations it involves, we offer citizens a means of expression and cohesion between the towns in the municipality.

Program scheduling is based on two major axes.

Conventional and musical radio.

The first part includes the programme “Ronda de Migjorn”.

The aim of the programme is to keep the audience informed with local news and the general daily highlights.

It includes a series of sections offering advice to listeners:

Banking and finance, labour and tax consultancy, gardening, DIY, health, science, internet and consumption issues affecting citizens.

CSeveral sections of the programme focus on gastronomy and tourism, paranormal phenomena and the local art scene.

News about the rural world and the sea.

We recover stories and accounts of old customs to help us understand the evolution of a society that since the 60s has been suffering the invasion of tourism and the loss of the agricultural landscape of our ancestors.

Cultural associations and NGOs have a channel to publicize their activities.

In the field of sports, as well as having a daily section, we make a comprehensive follow-up of the weekend events in a special programme depending on the competition and the local teams taking part in it.

The rest of our 24-hour schedule is dominated by music, a combination of classics of all styles and new music.

Our aim is to entertain and inform, an easy yet complicated task.
